Pair injured in microlight crash

Bad weather is being blamed for the crash

Two people suffered injuries when a microlight crashed in a field near Bath in stormy weather.

The crash happened at about 2045 BST on Friday night in a field in Hinton Charterhouse near Radstock.

The pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Royal United Hospital.

Avon and Somerset Police have passed all information to the Air Accident Investigation Branch of the Department of Transport.

The pilot suffered chest injuries, emergency services said.
